  • use of breastfeeding tools, like supplemental nursing systems and nipple shileds

  • oral ties and post-revision care

  • pump flange sizing and pump education

  • plugged ducts and mastitis

  • premature babies and admissions to the NICU

  • weaning

What will the consult be like?

  • Consults are typically 90-120 minutes long either in your home or via secure virtual platform

  • Includes a history and physical assessment of the lactating parent and child

  • Close observation of at least one feeding, with adjustments and education as needed

  • May weigh infant on a hospital-grade infant scale for a weighted-feed

  • Development of personalized feeding plan and education on implementation to make sure you feel supported and confident going forward

  • Each consult includes 2 weeks of follow up up email and texting with me, for any unanswered or new concerns or questions you can think of. I try to answer all texts within 12-24 hours 

How much does it cost?

  • Most PPO plans will fully cover multiple lactation consults. You can check your coverage here

  • Out of pocket in-home consult: $350

  • Out of pocket follow up consult: $250

  • Out of pocket virtual consult: $200

  • Out of pocket virtual follow up consult: $100
