What will we talk about?

• overview of lactation physiology - how it works in the body!

• the basics of breastfeeding from birth to the first few weeks of life

• anticipatory guidance on any medical concerns for you or your baby

• breast pump recommendations and pump flange fitting

• creating a personalized feeding and support plan

• answering any and all questions you may have

What will the consult be like?

• Consults are typically 60 - 90 minutes in length, either in your home or via secure virtual platform

• Consults include a comprehensive overview of what to expect the first week with breastfeeding/chestfeeding, with plenty of opportunity to address any questions. Think of this as a conversation, not a lecture!

• Each consult includes 1 week of follow-up texting with me, for any unanswered questions or concerns you can think of. I try to answer all texts within 12-24 hours.

How much does it cost?

• Most PPO plans will fully cover a prenatal consult. You can check your coverage here

• Out of pocket in-home consult: $200

• Out of pocket virtual consult: $150
